Alan Bowles of Garland, Texas won tickets to Six Flags from Ranch Style Beans for this recipe. "Nowhere but Texas," he says! The recipe is named after the hometown of Don Merideth, a Dallas Cowboy.

Mt. Vernon Surprise
1 lb. ground round
flour tortillas
1 can Ranch Style Beans
A few jalapeno slices
1 can Rotel tomatoes
Shredded monterrey jack and cheddar cheeses


Brown the ground round and drain. In a rectangular pan, layer flour tortillas, Ranch Style Beans, jalapeno slices and meat. Add Rotel tomatoes and layer cheese over top. Cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes. Alan recommends serving with hot sauce and a cold beer!
